Tools:

In a two day workshop 3 teams and a SI (System Integrator) compete to satisfy a SOW (Statement of Work).

  • It starts with the requirements (following the BABOK ® guidelines) with RFP and RFQ.
  • It continues through Project Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, and Closing (following the PMBOK ® guidelines).
  • It finishes with lessons learnt and links back to the theory.

 

Templates (project charter, WBS, Earned Value, risk registers,...) are all provided. They are all used through out the experience.

As in  real  projects the unexpected can bite any time:

- scope not clear;

- material price increases;

- staff is relocated:

- etc... A LOT OF FUN !!!! (but you learn a lot; and... remember for ever)
